Hello. I have Windows 8 Pro x64 desktop. Install of Pinta looks ok. When I'm trying to launch it, nothing happens on my screen. Pinta.exe process appears for a few seconds, then silently disappear. And that is all. I already try another folder for install and some old releases. Nothing changes. What's wrong? I like Pinta on my linux, how to start it on windows?

Hmm, what does Add/Remove programs show for the versions of .NET Framework, GTK#, and possibly Visual C++ Redistributable that you have installed? Was this with Pinta 1.7, and which older releases did you test?
.NET Framework 4.5
GTK# for .Net 2.12.45
Visual C++ Redistributable 14.29.30037
Pinta 1.7 don't works.
What's wrong?
Where is the description of the dependencies of the program?
Can I somehow make portable version of Pinta with no external dependencies?
Those sound correct, so I'm not sure what's going wrong.
Some googling found issues like https://github.com/tomboy-notes/tomboy/issues/97, so you could try downgrading to an older version of GTK#
Downgrade to https://xamarin.azureedge.net/GTKforWindows/Windows/gtk-sharp-2.12.21.msi don't help.

Also, the GTK3 development builds of Pinta are much more self-contained if you want to try that out - https://github.com/PintaProject/Pinta/releases/tag/dev-preview-builds
Pinta 1.8 installed and works ok! Many many thanks!
