Hello, I am using Pinta on Ubuntu 20.10 in French. There is currently a bug in the zoom feature (no change when CTRL+mouse wheel or by clicking on the + and - buttons), but this problem seems to be solved in the English version of the software, which I can open wi(h the command line: "LANG=C pinta". How can I have Pinta automatically in English? I would like the software to always open in English when I open a file with Pinta (without command line, just by double-clicking on it, or via "open with" in right-click menu in the file explorer). My second motivation is that most content (tutorials, help) is available in English so I find it simpler to have Pinta in English. Thanks in advance!

I think you might need to find the pinta.desktop
file and add those options into the launch command.
Thank you for your answer!
In "/usr/share/applications/pinta.desktop" I tried changing "Exec=pinta %F" (default parameter) to "Exec=LANG=C pinta %F" (without the "") but then the Pinta icon disappears in the applications menu. I am under the impression that I should write it differently but I don't know really how. Could you please help me?
Thanks
When I implement the solution proposed by @cameronwhite91 (thanks!), if I click on the "Pinta" icon in the Ubuntu app menu, it opens in English just fine. But after that, the icon simply disappears in the app menu. And it never works for opening a file with: right-click + "open with..." does not show Pinta any more.
The only way to have the icon back in the app menu is to go back to "Exec=pinta %F" on line 192, in "/usr/share/applications/pinta.desktop". Are there other solutions?

Maybe try
env LANG=C ...
? Otherwise I'm not sureIt works! Thanks a lot
I talked too fast, it doesn't work properly (see explanations behind). Nevertheless, thank you for your proposal.
