With Pinta 1.4 on Win 7 64-bit:

1. Write some text using the Text Tool
2. Try to select the text with mouse left click and drag. You can't!

You can select with Shift + Arrow Keys, but mouse selection can sometimes be more convenient. E.g. Microsoft Paint supports this.
