My image is 3000 x 4000 px, I want to select a part of it using rectangle select but I need to preserve the aspect ratio - so the selected area will have the same (3:4) aspect ratio. I tried Ctrl, Alt and Shift but it doesn't work.

I don't think this is currently supported - Shift just constrains the selection to a square
