I don't know if this is normal or not, but I just got Pinta because I needed a PDN alternative for my new Mac; I have created lots of very detailed maps (among other images) that use .pdn, and they seem to open just fine. However, some of the map images, which are 8192x4096, cause lots of jitter and lag even when zoomed in. and a 1,056x15,000+ image that holds all of my color schemes takes forever to open and is nearly impossible to use.

Its strange to experience this jitteriness on an otherwise buttery-smooth Mac. Is this normal or are my files just too big to really use? They are enormous, I do realize that; yet they worked with very little problem on my vastly inferior Dell Optiplex that is at least 7 years old.
