The first thing I missed within seconds of using ver 1.1 was that I could not adjust the size of the content inside the selected area as I often do after pasting a cut image from an external source. This is one of my most frequently used features in Paint.NET The Move Selected Pixels Mode should have handles to allow resizing of the selection and its contents before pasting.

Lack of this feature is a show stopper for me.
this is the only reasen i use gimp ! even though it's complicated
pinta has everything u need in a painting program exept the feature mentioned above
please add this feature so i can finaly say "i'm over paint.net".
This feature is definitely a deal-breaker for me, it's one of the most useful things about paint.NET.
This was also dealbreaker for me. I miss also rotating selection.
This was added by https://github.com/PintaProject/Pinta/pull/138
@Cameron White yes, I read that Git thread cover to cover and it does technically work, but it seems to only allow you to resize symmetrically around a central anchor point. Personally, this is almost never what I want to do, I almost always want to selection anchored on one side while I extend the other. The way the actual Rectangular Selection tool does this by providing grab handles on all four corners and all four sides is perfect, if only the Move Pixels tool had the same grab handles, then we'd really be in business!
Keep the the amazing work! Pinta is almost perfect, but I have to echo what others in this thread have said, this is unfortunately a deal-breaker for me and I have to keep using Gimp in spite of Pinta being a much better tool for what I need in every other way.
@pakowski you can rotate selection using right mouse button

Having handles to do so would also be great in my opinion, instead of just control
2023 and this feature is still missing. Come on devs!

(If there isn't a separate "flip horizontal/vertical", be sure to allow scale handles to go negative, and snap to -1, perhaps with a modifier key....)
