A portable version which saves all temporary files (if there are temp files) on the stick and doesn't need to change the registry or extra programs to work.

Pinta is also depended on .Net on Windows and Mono on Linux and OSX.

I understand the need and idea, but I doubt this is an easy task to do. Pinta is using Gtk#, so this portion of software should also be portable - don't know if exists something like Gtk# portable in the first place.
Main goal of developers is stable product on particular computer. Portable applications are in domain of special projects like http://portableapps.com/ So if you can persuade project like that to implement portable would be fantastic. I think Pinta developers would also help with ideas and code suggestions...
