Hi, in Paint.net on Windows there is a function that saves a lot of time, when you select an area with the magic wand and then you increase the tolerance level, the selected area increases in real time. On pinta you always have to make a new selection after changing the tolerance level to see the difference, this also works but it wastes time.

This is a very good suggestion and in case other features are added later that benefit from real time preview/adjustments this should be done for those as well if possible. Like when "feathering" edges in a selection.

Yes, Pinta even after a decade of development is missing alot of quality of life features Paint.NET has. This being one of them, you have my upvote.
