Faststone Capture crosshairs can be moved pixel by pixel using left, right, up, down arrows to start position of selection. Enter then fixes the start followed by arrows to end of selection followed by Enter to complete selection. Could this very easy accurate selection facility be added please.

#53 - Use arrows for accurate selection

I think this refers to being able to create selections using the keyboard.
moving a selection boundary by one pixel with a mouse is cumbersome, but the arrow keys won't let me move it. please let the arrow keys move the mouse cursor around when the mouse is clicked down on a selection corner/edge, or when the mouse is un-clicked anywhere on the canvas, for any tool that might require precise cursor input.
this is a decade-long issue which will continue to impede adoption from users wanting alternatives to their favorite windows-only tools.
(v2 looks great though!)
So I decided to give implementing this a shot - downloaded and compiled the source code, and to my surprise, on that version the arrows DO move the selection around!
So I guess this feature is coming soon! 🤞
(meanwhile, https://github.com/PintaProject/Pinta/blob/master/readme.md#building-on-macos is astonishingly simple if you have Homebrew; Windows/Linux should be easy too; but be warned you'll be working with a "bleeding edge" release that may misbehave)
