I am a new user of Pinta and I congratulate the Team Pinta for a such a beautifully developed application. I understand I can resize the selected part of image but I could not see any resizing handles on the selection I did on my canvas. Please help if I am using wrong method for resizing. Thanks.

You are probably using some old version of Pinta, check the Help | About menu. The lastest current stable version is Pinta 1.6 released March 1, 2015. Resize handles are there and working fine. If you have the latest version and still haveing some problem then report a bug as stated by Cameron bellow. Please write step-by-step instruction how you lose ability to resize.

You can do this my making a selection, and then using the "Move Selected Pixels" tool
and moving the mouse will resize the selection., hold down

In the latest version of Pinta (2.1), you can do this by left clicking and dragging WHILE HOLDING CTRL. Hope this helps, as I haven't seen this mentioned.

You might need to zoom in a bit to see the selection handles? If you still can't resize the selection, then please file a bug at https://bugs.launchpad.net/pinta (this page is intended for feature requests)
